Honkai Impact is a 3D third-person shooter mobile game developed by Mihoyo, which was released on October 14th, 2016. The game has been praised for its exceptional graphics and performance, having won multiple awards since its release. The title is available in both Korean and Chinese versions, with other languages on the way. With nearly 2 million downloads per month and players from 190 countries playing Honkai Impact, it’s sure to continue being a hit for years to come!
What is Genshin Mihoyo?
It’s no secret that games are becoming more and more popular as a source of entertainment. We want to create an opportunity for you to experience that world first hand through our new project, Genshin Mihoyo. This will be an anime series based off of Honkai Impact! Our goal is to make something that fans can enjoy watching even if they haven’t played our game yet. We’re working hard behind-the-scenes so stay tuned for updates!

When mihoyo revealed Honkai Impact 3rd, they also announced a new game called Honkai Impact: New Wave. While it is true that both games will share similarities (both are free-to-play online shooting games, both allow you to customize your weapons and ship with parts, etc.), there are quite a few differences between them. For starters, New Wave is set in a world where people were exposed to ‘Psychotic energy’ as opposed to an alien threat as seen in IMP3. Players take on different roles during combat depending on which characters they play as.
Who are the main characters?
Genshin Mihoyo is Honkai’s protagonist and an original character created by valkyries. She appears in all of her artwork, including concept art. Her first name means absolute while her last name means infinite or unlimited. Together they translate to mean Absolute Infinite. What kind of person is she?: Genshin displays a multitude of conflicting emotions and has no qualms about expressing them. However, she seems to be genuinely friendly when she isn’t actively trying to kill you (so if you’re a friend). What can we learn from her?: To begin with, what are Honkai weapons? What kinds are there? Who uses them? How do they work?

What are their roles in combat?
Whether you’re a captain or not, it is vital to be familiar with your role in combat. There are four main combat roles: Attacker, Shooter, Tanker and Healer. All have their strengths and weaknesses; however, knowing how to efficiently use your role is key to winning battles. Let’s briefly discuss each of these roles so that you can get a general understanding of what they entail. Feel free to skip ahead if you already know all about them! However, if I don’t talk about your particular role, feel free to add information in parenthesis after my description!
What sort of enemies will players face?
Combat in Honkai Impact is currently geared around fighting groups of weaker enemies that can overwhelm you if you’re not careful. However, we will definitely be expanding on difficulty levels, including bosses and other challenging enemies! As for what sort of foes players will fight, well… You know what they say about strange bedfellows. Also included Schicksal a European based peacekeeping organization that deploys human warriors known as Valkyries to combat the Honkai.
What weapons will be available?
The weapon types in the game are pistol, katana, heavy cannon, two-handed greats word and cross. Although there are currently 20 main weapons, Honkai Impact will have a total of 40+ weapons to collect and upgrade, each one with its own unique special effect. Some weapons come with only 4 levels of upgradability; others have more than 6 stages. As you level up, your character’s appearance changes according to what kind of weapon it uses. The stats on each weapon (including Upgrade Materials) can be found in-game after you buy a weapon from a vendor or upon ranking up in battle. These stats differ for every type of weapon; some may focus on higher attack power while others rely on upgraded special effects that can greatly increase damage output, survival time and movement speed.
How does its equipment system work?
Honkai Impact’s equipment system is interesting, and arguably one of its more unique features. Rather than collecting one set of armor from beginning to end, players will find many pieces scattered throughout their journey, each with differing effects. Instead of assigning those effects to preset slots (i.e. three boots with +2 speed), you’ll be able to mix and match any piece as you see fit, which not only gives more variety but makes it easier to upgrade your gear throughout a mission without having to scramble for new items just before a boss fight (although there are still permanent upgrades). Choosing between three pairs of boots every time you equip would be less practical than simply equipping whatever your latest find is—especially in some of Honkai’s challenging missions later on.
Why should you choose this game over others?
Honkai Impact is a mobile gacha game that combines RPG and CCG elements together. The anime-style graphics along with excellent storyline makes it hard to put down once you start playing. It is also completely free to play. Instead of paying for weapons and items, you can instead just upgrade your cards by fusing or rerolling them. You should definitely give it a try!
